Shamanic Healing

When we lose soul parts or life force, imbalance and illness can arise. Soul loss often occurs after painful experiences and is, in shamanic understanding, a root cause of illness and imbalance.

Through core shamanic practices such as drum journeys, we work in collaboration with the spirits to heal, retrieve lost soul parts, restore inner power, and bring balance back into life. I offer, among other things, soul healing journeys and processes.

Nature Spirituality

Through practices in nature, we restore a deep, sensory connection to all living beings – plants, animals, and unseen beings.

When we allow the rhythms of nature to nourish our soul, it becomes possible to live rooted in both the earthly and the spiritual at the same time. This is essential for our vitality and presence in life.

Body Oriented Therapy & Somatic Processes

Modern life often asks us to disconnect from the body and its needs. Yet the body is our personal nature — the place where nourishment, regulation, and healing begin.

When we lose contact with the body, imbalance gradually shows up mentally, emotionally, and physically. I offer somatic therapeutic processes that support the release of stress, anxiety, and the effects of traumatic experiences, helping you reconnect with your body and restore balance.

Shamanic Healing

Shamanism is an ancient spiritual practice that has been practiced by Indigenous tribal cultures around the world for thousands of years – with traces found dating back more than 40,000 years. Shamanism and magical traditions also existed in the Nordic countries. Each tribe had a shaman who could communicate with the spirit world. At its core, shamanism is based on an animistic worldview, where everything is imbued with spirit.

A shaman acts as a bridge between the physical and spiritual worlds and uses sound – through drumming, singing, or ritual – to journey to the spirit world to retrieve power or perform healing. Shamanic work is largely about ensuring harmony between the human world, the natural world, the spirit world, and the cosmos.

The drum journey is a core practice of shamanism and is independent of any specific cultural context.

It’s the essence of shamanic healing work and is used for healing and soul retrieval.

Soul retrieval is a shamanic practice in which lost parts of the soul are found in the spirit world and returned to the person so healing can take place. In shamanic understanding, trauma, shock, or life crises can cause parts of the soul to withdraw as a form of protection. The shaman journeys to bring the soul part home so the person can once again feel whole, alive, and connected.

Modern shamanism is not fundamentally different from traditional shamanism but naturally reflects the culture we live in today.

Nature Spirituality

Nature spirituality is the art of connecting with nature as a living, spiritual force. It is based on an animistic understanding that all life – plants, animals, earth, water, sky, and the cycles of the seasons – are living beings with their own consciousness and wisdom, carrying an energy we can learn from and collaborate with. When we connect with them, we experience a deep relationship between our inner world and the pulse of the universe.

Practices may include meditation in nature, medicine walks (a practice of walking in nature with a clear intention, allowing guidance to come from the surroundings — plants, animals, weather, sounds), working with power places, seasonal ceremonies, working with plants and herbs, circle work, or simply mindful presence and gratitude toward the surroundings.

Many experience that nature mirrors their inner processes and supports healing, insight, and personal growth.

At the heart of nature spirituality is the awareness that we are part of a greater ecosystem. Nature reflects our emotions and life processes, and our actions both affect and are affected by it. By listening to the rhythms of nature and learning its language, you develop a deeper sense of connection, balance, and responsibility.

Body Oriented Therapy & Somatic Processes

Trauma is often something we can neither fully remember nor completely forget.
Many of us have experienced overwhelming emotions — our own or others’ — at times when we didn’t have the capacity to process them. These experiences remain stored in the body, shaping patterns in the nervous system, often without our conscious awareness.

Stress, anxiety, and burnout are frequently expressions of these unresolved patterns. They drain energy, affect well-being, and keep parts of ourselves hidden in the background.

Often, we end up addressing the symptoms rather than the root cause — perhaps by seeking treatment for them, taking painkillers, or doing other things to numb the discomfort. This may help in the moment, but over time the symptoms return, along with the familiar and limiting experiences.

Through somatic bodywork, you are gently guided to meet and integrate these lost parts. The body carries the whole story, and by working directly with bodily sensations — beyond the intellect — the nervous system can regulate, symptoms can ease, and the body’s natural healing capacity can unfold.

What is a Somatic Transformation Process?
A somatic transformation process is a series of sessions designed to increase body awareness and activate the body’s innate healing intelligence. I work with touch, breath, guided awareness, verbal reflection, and simple instructions to support this process.

First, you’ll explore how what’s happening in your body is connected to your life and lies at the root of the imbalances you’re experiencing, including physical symptoms. Then, through somatic release work, you’ll begin to experience benefits such as:

  • Over time, you may experience:
  • More energy
  • Reduced symptoms
  • Release of habitual patterns
  • Increased well-being
  • Inner calm
  • A deeper sense of being at home in your body

These shifts often bring new inner qualities such as calm, courage, strength, and connection — resources that support an authentic and grounded way of living.
